# Thesis / Minor Thesis

Homepage or Dashboard for a main lecturer or agent for Grade Submission.

**Show the number separated by subject status.**

1. Not Started / Saved Draft
2. Waiting For Approval
3. Rejected
4. Completed

## 🖥️Data display

Users can choose between two display options:

1. **Only Required Subjects (Default) :** Displays only subjects for which the main lecturer or agent is required to complete the subject.
2. **All Taught Subjects :** Displays all subjects for which the main lecturer or co-instructor is listed.

## 🔍Searching for subjects, thesis / minor thesis

Users can search for theses/dissertations by:

1. Selecting the **study level** and/or
2. Entering the **subject code** or **subject name** for the search.

*<mark style="color:$warning;">The system will automatically display search results immediately, without any button presses.</mark>*

1. Clicking the **PROCESS** button will display a screen for selecting students to use for submitting grades.

## 📝Filling in the grades of subjects, thesis / minor thesis

**Thesis / Minor thesis subjects can be submitted multiple times and each submission may be submitted in full or incomplete at one time.**

### 👉Choose a student

1. Click the ^ button to view students who have already submitted grades or have already released grades. Click the v to collapse the top display.
2. Tick ​​☑ to select students for whom you want to submit grades, or tick ☑ at the top to select all students.
3. Entering the **student ID** or **student name** for the search.
4. Once you have selected the student, click the **CONFIRM** button to enter the grade in the next step.

### ✏️Filling in the grades

1. Enter the number of Progress credits. The Non-Progress section will be calculated automatically.

&#x20;     *The grading status on the right-hand side will be fully displayed (<mark style="color:$success;">in green</mark>) once grade levels have been entered for all selected students.*

2. Click the Save Draft button to save the draft if you don't want to send it yet but want to save it first.*<mark style="color:$primary;">Drafts can be saved as many times as you want.</mark>*
3. Click the **ADD STUDENT** button if you want to select additional students. The following screen will appear.

1. The system will display students who have already been selected and cannot be selected anymore. If you want to select more, tick ☑ to select students for whom you want to submit grades, or tick ☑ at the top to select all students.
2. Entering the **student ID** or **student name** for the search.
3. Once you have selected the student, click the **CONFIRM** button to enter the grades.

*<mark style="color:$warning;">If the student is not selected correctly, they can be removed from the list for grade submission.</mark>*

1. Click the trash can icon to remove the student list for which you do not want to submit grades.

To clear this page to select new students, click on the **Homepage** and click **PROCESS**. Only students who have previously saved a draft will be displayed.

You can filter the grade submission status or search for student information.

1. You can filter the grade submission status by selecting **“No Grade”** or **“Completed”**
2. Search for student information using the **Student ID** or **Student Name**.

### 📊Download Grdae Summary Report

Click the **DOWNLOAD GRADE SUMMARY REPORT** button.

A file will be downloaded as a **PDF** named grade-summary-report. The file will have a **watermark of Draft.**

You can see that 4 grades have been entered, but when the grade report is issued, 9 levels will be displayed because thesis / minor thesis subject can be submitted multiple times, that is, 5 levels have already been submitted.

### 📜Submission History

1. Click the **Submission History** button to display your grade submission history on the right.
2. The grade submission history will be displayed, with the most recent history displayed at the top, sorted from most recent to oldest.

Thesis / minor thesis subjects have different information from general subjects because grades can be submitted multiple times. If you want to view the history each time submitted, look at the same REF to separate the history each time.

### ➡️Submit

*The grading status on the right-hand side will be fully displayed (in green) once grade levels have been entered for all selected students. Only then will the **SUBMIT**  button become clickable.*

1. Clicking the **SUBMIT** button will display a screen confirming the grade submission.
2. The grade submission confirmation screen will display a summary of the grade entries for review before confirming submission. Once complete, click the **CONFIRM** button.

Once submitted, it will be in the **Waiting For Approval** status.

If not all students submit at once, the course will be in Not Started / Saved Draft status, but no students who have already submitted will be able to select it.

💡**Things to know**

1. If the submitted course is in the status of "Waiting for Review" and you want to edit it, you can cancel the grade submission. You can click to see [How to cancel grade submitted](/grade-management-system-user-guide/lecturer-agent/how-to-cancel-grade-submitted.md).
2. If the submitted course is in **Waiting For Approval** status but you want to submit additional grade levels (select additional students), there are 2 ways to do so.

* Cancel the grade submission. <mark style="background-color:$success;">**Recommend this method**</mark> &#xDC49;*<mark style="color:$warning;">This is so that users do not get confused about the information on different status pages, such as if two Waiting For Approval entries are displayed, the information will be the same. If you do not click into the details, you will not know how the student information differs from one submission to another.</mark>*
* Submit the grade on the **Not Started / Saved Draft** status page according to the steps 👉 [Filling in the grades of subjects, thesis / minor thesis.](/grade-management-system-user-guide/lecturer-agent/thesis-minor-thesis.md#filling-in-the-grades-of-subjects-thesis-minor-thesis)

3. If the submitted subject is considered as **not passed**, it will be displayed in the status of **rejected** the review. You must follow the steps 👉 [**Not Approved**](/grade-management-system-user-guide/lecturer-agent/not-approved.md).
4. If the submitted subject is considered **Passed** by both the department and faculty approvers, the subject status will be displayed as **Completed.**
